Dragons and warrior saints in byzantine hagiography

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between dragons and warrior saints in Byzantine Hagiography from a literary point of view. The analysis will be focused on the legends of St. Theodore and St. George and also in the miracles of St. Menas or St. Eugenios of Trebizond.
