Abstract

This study seks to describe the design, implementation and results of psychosocial interventions in municipal educational establishments, executed under the SEP law. A qualitative methodology was used, in order to explore and describe the functioning of psychosocial areas and the interventions of 12 municipal establishments), corresponding to 3 municipalities in the Metropolitan region, with a pair of psychosocial work or one professional (psychologist and/or social worker). It was possible to observe that there is a great institutional weakness regarding the lineaments of social policy to support the work of the pairs. This insertion is very recent and there is still resistance in the education system. However, psychosocial pairs have been able to adapt and have established an intervention structure of high coherence with institutional and contextual realities of each establishment.
